Oli Fowler is a contemporary British artist, who specialises in screen printing and graphic design. Not limited to a single process, Fowler incorporates graphics, illustration, photography and photomontage into his work, combining these different mediums with an experimental approach. His work fuses the figurative and the abstract, exploiting innovative compositional technique, sharp, defined shapes, and a pure CMYK palette, for a bold and arresting visual quality which is attuned to all things nostalgic. 'Fuck Yeah' depicts a yellow lightbulb, set against a flat, dove-grey background. In place of the filament, Fowler has scrawled the titular words, in big, black letters. Offsetting photographic elements with colourised detail, 'Fuck Yeah' is a triumph of colour and compositional technique: a perfect fusion of graphic design and print making.
